Sesame Solar at the Clean Mobile Power Initiative Demo Day
In a significant advancement for sustainable practices in the entertainment industry, Sesame Solar has been chosen to be a part of the first cohort for the Clean Mobile Power Initiative (CMPI). This initiative, a collaborative effort co-founded by Disney, Netflix, and the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) and managed by Third Derivative, seeks to revolutionize the industry's power sources. Sesame Solar's selection, through a highly competitive process, marks a pivotal step in designing the future of clean mobile power for the entertainment sector.
Cleantech Demo Day
The importance of this initiative was on full display on November 3rd and 4th, 2023, at the Cleantech Demo Days held at Sunset Gower Studios in Los Angeles. The event was organized by the Clean Mobile Power Initiative in conjunction with IATSE, and Locals 728 and 40 Set Lighting, Local 40 Electricians, and Local 600 Cinematographers.
It brought together nearly 700 attendees over two days. Participants, including production personnel, had the opportunity to engage directly with 21 suppliers who showcased over 70 clean technology equipment pieces. Sesame Solar, as one of the 10 companies selected as part of the Clean Mobile Power Cohort, was one of the suppliers invited to demonstrate their technology during the event.

Through the new integration of atmospheric water generators, the Nanogrids will now have unlimited clean drinking water and unlimited deionized water to power the green hydrogen fuel cells.
